With the Diablo IV beta experience moving on to it’s Open period, the loathsome “Queue Boss” has returned.
Players can find themselves sitting for quite a long time waiting to access the game, which should come as no surprise given the player volume trying to access the world – but perhaps more sinister than that is a range of disconnection errors that can arise.
These errors are hard to really nail down, with some players explaining that they seemingly came from nowhere – and upon doing so, you will be booted from the game and returned back to that odious queue once more.
Players trying to log in to the Diablo IV Open Beta will need to wait up to 160 minutes in queue right now!#DiabloIV #Diablohttps://t.co/EljwH22Idg pic.twitter.com/cd1PUKkFdX

I really hate this @Diablo IV error code. WTF does it even mean? I was disconnected from the game abruptly, then when I try to rejoin I get this error. Does my party member need to kick me or disband the party so I can rejoin? #DiabloIV #Diablo4 pic.twitter.com/Ri6HGPGMiq

While I have already partaken in the earlier beta period and can perhaps live with a little wait, I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for those who are trying to experience Diablo IV for the first time. The silver lining is that much like every other occurrence of a Blizzard game experiencing this kind of issue, a team of people at will be manipulating all manner of knobs and levers in order to try and alleviate the worst of it.
So if you are already exercising patience with the queue, leverage a little bit of that towards the engineers who should eventually deliver an improved experience your way.
Personally I am cleaning my keyboard while I wait. Or at least, that’s the plan once I finish typing this post.
Have you managed to navigate the queue? What about the dreaded disconnect errors? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
