Terminator 2D: NO FATE Looks Like The Hottest T2 Game Of The 90s, But It’s Coming In 2025

A game this good could easily get the T-800 smiling

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a banger of a film, and as such deserves a banger video game. Apparently cooking up the best one took decades – because Terminator 2D: NO FATE is dripping with all the bleak cyber-future you could ever want.

According to publisher Reef Entertainment, the game will let you play as both stars from the the 1991 movie – kicking arse as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s awesome T-800 in some sections, and the undisputed queen of badarse ladies Sarah Connor in others.

The trailer shows off a great many scenes from the film explosively recreated in the awesome retro style (seriously how frigging cool does the truck chase scene look) but developers Bitmap Bureau also mention that the game will feature multiple endings and even new sequences that didn’t appear in the film.

The folks at Bitmap Bureau even shared their own making-of featurette to properly convey how excited they are to be making this grand slam of a T2 experience:

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a banger of a film, holding that rare honour of being a sequel that is considered even better than the original – and Terminator 2D: NO FATE looks like the kind of killer cabinet experience you would have seen all those years ago.

Terminator 2D: No Fate is set to launch on on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on September 5, 2025. Maybe they will consider an arcade cabinet release for my inner child if I beg them.
