Developer Tarsier Studios has announced its next project with a creepy and cryptic teaser trailer.
It was during the recent THQ Nordic Showcase that the team behind Little Nightmares I and II dropped cheeky 30-second nuggets of a trailer that set the tone for its next game. And what tone is that? Unnerving and mysterious, just how I like it.
Outside of establishing the vibe, there’s not much to grab hold of in the short teaser, but it does confirm the game’s full reveal will take place on August 21 during Gamescom Opening Night Live.
The blink and you’ll miss it cinematic shows an enormous, grotesque pig walking into frame before squealing, causing a wound on its stomach to open and spill out its intestines. Before we cut to black, the sickly swine ominously barks the words, “They’re coming.”
Obviously, this is a nasty sight, but it did make me think of someone sneezing so hard that they lightly shit themselves. Let’s be fair though, that says more about me than the trailer.
For now, we’ll patiently wait for Gamescom Opening Night Live to see the full reveal of Tarsier’s next game.
