Reanimal Gets A February Release Date Alongside A Console Demo

Can you hear the lambs?

Developer Tarsier Studios has announced that Reanimal will be releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC on February 13, 2026.

Announced during this week’s Xbox Partner Preview, Tarsier Studios’ next horror adventure game will be available across all major consoles and PC in the second month of next year. While Tarsier has relinquished the reins to Little Nightmares, which is now helmed by Supermassive Games, Reanimal looks to capture and expand on the gameplay and tone of the first two excellent games in that series. Those who primarily play on PC may have already jumped into the Steam demo that dropped last month, but console players will now share the same luxury.

A free demo, capturing the game’s opening chapters, is available to download and play on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Switch 2 demo coming at a later date. Pre-orders for the game have also opened on digital storefronts, with those willing to part with their cash early nabbing themselves the Foxhead and Muttonhead cosmetic items.

Folks hoping to play with a friend or partner locally will be stoked to hear that two-player couch co-op is an option for both the demo and the full experience, which can’t be said for Little Nightmares III. While we enjoyed the first game in the series to be developed by Supermassive Games, we were left slightly underwhelmed. We gave Little Nightmares III a 7, saying that it’s “An enjoyable enough threequel that delivers on the promise of a co-operative Little Nightmares without straying from the established formula, for better and for worse.”
