The Day Before Rumoured To Be Getting A Short Delay As Steam Page Is Updated And Then Removed Again

What’s one more delay at this point?

Rumours are swirling that The Day Before – which is scheduled to launch on November 10 – will be hit with another delay, this time pushing it to December 1, 2023.

The rumour comes from Dutch YouTuber Altis, who claims that the source of the information is from inside Fntastic and that the main reason for the delay is Fntastic’s trademark lawsuit victory, which has now given the studio ownership of The Day Before trademark for video games. he also claims that news will be coming this week from Fntastic.

Giving the rumours further credence is that The Day Before’s Steam page was updated with assets and information yesterday before it was all bizarrely removed again, according to the page’s history on SteamDB. This could mean that the team is gearing up for an announcement of some sort and someone pulled the trigger too early or…who knows. It could all just be another chapter in the strange saga of The Day Before’s development.

The Day Before’s development woes are well known, with the game being hit with multiple delays, the studio dealing with trademark disputes and the general lack of communication and concrete information about the game leading people to question the validity of the project, especially after seeing the huge difference in quality between the announcement trailer and the 10-minute gameplay trailer from earlier this year.

In our exclusive interview with Fntastic back in June, we managed to squeeze out some morsels of information about the gameplay experience, but there are still a lot of questions that interested players have. The biggest one is when the supposed beta is taking place given the game is just weeks away. Hopefully we get some answers soon, and with the game’s release, delayed or not, I expect that we’ll hear from Fntastic very soon.
