The Latest Assassin’s Creed Now Has A Reveal Countdown

Titled Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we will know more on May 16

Today Ubisoft lifted the lid on the next instalment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise – originally known as Assassin’s Creed Codename RED during the Assassin’s Creed: 2022 Showcase – and has revealed it’s actual title.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be properly revealed in just a few short days, with an official countdown showing up on social media:

The immense hourglasses are a cool visual, however they are more than just a simple timepiece – communications from Ubisoft marketing offer an invitation for “Players to crack the Hourglass puzzle; those who succeed will be rewarded.”

During the AC2022 Showcase, the Codename RED tease showed that it was to be set during Feudal Japan – the teaser itself seemingly showing that the player character would likely be a shinobi, a pretty exciting thought for anyone familiar with the franchise.

As for more information, or even details on HOW to crack the Hourglass puzzle – nothing is known at this time. We do at least have a date and time for the games reveal on May 16 at 2AM AEST, but the Hourglass puzzle may require some crowdsourced chin-scratching.

Are you excited to see a new Assassin’s Creed title? Does the Feudal Japan setting interest you? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
