If you’re like me, you’ve been in the market for a tenkeyless [TKL] keyboard for quite a while and a number of them just don’t fit your criteria, sadly. Admittedly, my need and want of a TKL is purely to save space on my desk for a cleaner aesthetic, but I seldom use my number pad so it’s space that is currently being occupied for no reason. Regardless, it seems that the people over at Razer have answered my prayers with the BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed, the company’s latest TKL keyboard. Sporting a size percentage of only 65% compared to the standard BlackWidow, while also boasting the feature of not omitting the DEL, PG UP, PG DOWN, and INS keys, the BlackWidow V3 HyperSpeed packs most of the functionality of a standard keyboard in an incredibly sleek package. Additionally, it can be plugged in, or used wirelessly through either a 2.4GHz signal or Bluetooth with a supposed 200-hour battery life. You also have two choices of mechanical switches for the keyboard; either linear or clicky (their words, not mine). For Razer fans, don’t worry! Your Razer Chroma RGB is safe and sound so your lighting profiles within the Razer Synapse software aren’t for naught.
Pricing for the Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed is situated at A$299.95. Availability seems to be mostly on the Razer website, the listing of which has the US pricing of $179.99 (around A$231 in just raw conversion). This article will be updated when Australian listings become more available.
