Evil Empire, the developers behind the slick and stylish The Rogue Prince of Persia have announced a short delay to the game’s release – on account of Hades 2 entering the rogue-lite space and making itself right at home.
Usually these announcements are rife with corpo-speak that allude to “circumstances” and “strategy” and “regret”, but the words from Evil Empire are downright charming and outright glowing about how good Hades 2 is:

They do make mention that having a little more time to work on their own game will give them an opportunity to polish up whatever rough edges are most egregious – with a note that the reduced stress is welcome.
All in all, a super wholesome message to read – and not a harsh one for those that are hungry to play the game, considering they still make mention that the game will still absolutely drop within May this year. At a time when gaming news can feel altogether bleak and depressing, a friendly little tidbit of recognition is a great palette cleanser.
