The Sinking City Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

The Switch gets a little Lovecraftian

Teased during Nintendo’s E3 presentation, Ukrainian developers Frogwares has made the (cosmic) shock announcement that their impending Lovecraft-inspired detective game The Sinking City will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later in 2019.

While the Switch version of the game will be self-published, the PS4, Xbox One and PC (via Epic Store) versions will be published by Bigben Interactive and are set to launch on June 27, 2019. This marks the start of Frogwares move to publish all of their future titles.

Inspired by the universe of famed horror writer H.P. Lovecraft and set during the 1920s, The Sinking City sees private eye Charles Reed travel to Oakmont, Massachusetts – a city half submerged after a devastating flood – in search of the source of the supernatural power that is consuming the city and sending Reed and Oakmont’s inhabitants to the brink of insanity – and sometimes beyond.

Featuring a no handholding approach to its gameplay, players will need to use their detective skills and their conscious to solve the mysteries of Oakmont, all the while trying to keep Reed on the right side of sanity.
