Maneater was a game that caught me off guard.
Seriously, I don’t like sharks. They elicit a feeling of dread in me, representing a primal fear I have of deep water – and the creatures that call it home. So Maneater ended up being an odd kind of therapy, as I bungled my way to a 100% completion and a Platinum trophy on my PS5; the game was just pure dumb fun.
So of course I was amped when I caught wind of a Twitter ARG that suggested DLC content was coming for the toothy title.

It’s hard not to be a little intrigued
Enter the TRUTH QUEST! The next thrilling chapter Maneater from Tripwire Interactive. The base game was already pretty nutty – but the inclusion of aliens and nuclear upgrades is pushing this particular experience into squirrel turd territory: nuttier than ever.
Just check out the frenetic finned action in the DLC trailer, straight out of Gamescom:
There’s just some-fin exciting about using nuclear blasts to destroy helicopters.
Maneater: Truth Quest is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox on August 31.
