People flocking to TwitchCon have been tickled by the festivities at the annual streamer haven – but this year one of the more unique attractions is doing a great deal more than tickle people.
Located on the show floor, the Foam Pit was set up with some elevated platforms for the full gladiatorial fight to the death aesthetic; but it appears that the death part may be a little more serious than we thought.
I happened across a clip on Twitter today showing Adriana Chechik taking a positively epic launch into the pit – and stopping in a gut-wrenchingly rapid manner.
Take a look for yourself:
Adriana Chechik (@ChechikTv) looks seriously hurt after jumping in the foampit. Looks like #TwitchCon cheaped out on the padding and amount of foam. pic.twitter.com/BRPSs1EKVI

I am no expert on foam pits, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that what we are looking at here appears to lack depth, and may well be bloodthirsty.
But how is Adriana now? Well…
Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.

If broken backs aren’t really your thing, you can always opt for the more aggreeable dislocated knee option:

Injured parties have mentioned their frustration that they apparently signed a waiver before taking their leaps – and now feel as if there is very little they can do. More law-educated people on the interweb do mention cause for concern based on gross negligence, so we may see this foam-y issue go a little further.
I personally miss the days when the most criminal thing a ‘Con pit could do was be critically disappointing.
