They Built A Life-size D.Va Mech For The Overwatch 2 x Porsche Crossover

Now give me Volkswagen Reinhardt

So Season 9 of Overwatch 2 is still in full swing, but a preview of something fast that is coming in Season 10 is the Overwatch 2 x Porsche collaboration. Sure, crossing over with different anime titles and even a kpop group is all fine and dandy – but cars? Sure, why not.

To celebrate the collaboration, talented builders have actually put together a real life version of the Porsche D.Va mech – full of sleek and slick automotive design (and an all-leather interior):

It’s all very luxurious – though my main question of course is whether someone can actually sit inside the thing. Surely, that is an opportunity begging to happen.

There is even a short showcase video to walk you through some of the elite features:

In the world of collaboration with brands and the like, it is not often you see luxury vehicles crossing over into shooters. I mean, sure, there was that time Ferrari did a Fortnite thing – but Fortnite is less of a game than it is a living interactive billboard.

So with the wheels coming off the crossover bandwagon, I find myself wondering what could possibly be off limits for Overwatch collaborations in future. Maybe a John Deere collab where Soldier 76 puts on some dungarees? Or maybe an entire map made of IKEA furniture?

Huh. I actually want to see that now. Dang it.

What do you think of the OW2 Porsche collaboration? Is it too rich for your blood? Or are you a fan of Italian leather mech interiors? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
