Rumours have been bouncing around the internet for a little while now in relation to some beloved Transformers titles – and the grapevine just keeps bearing fruit.
Thanks to some licensing silliness back in the day, two much-lauded titles vanished into the ether – Transformers: War for Cybertron and it’s sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, both developed by High Moon Studios and both being amazing games. There has been many a murmur about the games maybe getting a re-release, and recently some solid evidence may just suggest that we are edging ever closer to such an event – with two odd listings appearing on the Australian Classification website register:
The listings report that the production company is Microsoft Studios, which is logical given that Activision properties are now in their hands, and also confirms that one listing is an ORIGINAL classification, while the other is considered a MODIFED classification. A Modified classification suggests that the title “has already been classified” and strongly hints that it is something that has come before.
VIDEO GAME UPDATE!

Via Australian Classification Board 2 Transformers video game projects are indeed in the works at Microsoft Studios.
One is "ORIGINAL" the other is "MODIFIED"
My theory is one is a remaster or WFC and the other is just a modified version of the FOC remaster. pic.twitter.com/MrpFOAApm0
No titles are offered at this time, but the ratings are both rated as:
- PG: Online Interactivity, Scary Scenes
- PG: Mild Violence, Online Interactivity, Users Interact
So, it’s something? Maybe? Eventually?
It’s at least a hell of a lot more than whatever is going on with Transformers Reactivate, which continues to barely exist as some kind of fever dream. So kudos to the Aussie Classification peeps for giving the fans some hope.
