Warframe: The New War was first announced at TennoCon 2019 with no definitive release date. Developers Digital Extremes has now confirmed that The New War will be releasing December 2021.
The New War is set to be Warframe’s biggest expansion. With a new 30+ hour cinematic story, customisations, weapons, and accessories.
Prior to The New War’s release, new and old players can prepare themselves by jumping into Warframe’s Prime Resurgence event. The Prime Resurgence will grant players access to 18 Prime Warframes and previously retired gear from Warframe’s reward tables. Players will be able to instantly unlock or earn two Prime Warframes along with their weapons and accessories from a new event shop located in Maroo’s Bazaar. In addition to this, players will also be able to earn the Warframes through finding a new resource ‘Aya’. Regal Aya is the premium form of this currency, much like platinum and can be acquired through real money purchases or by exchanging Aya at the Bazaar.
Prime Resurgence begins on November 17 and the items available will on rotation through till January 18.
