Belay those thoughts that Xbox are pulling out of the hardware market. The company that launched the Xbox Series X and S almost four years ago is set to refresh the cycle with three new SKUs later this year, as announced during the Xbox Showcase earlier today.
The big Xbox Series X will have two new models headed our way, the first of which is an All-Digital Edition in a Robot White colourway. Besides the lack of a disc drive, everything else internally remains the same.
It’s the second Series X that should grab your attention. Dubbed the ‘Galaxy Black Special Edition’, this iteration retains the disc drive but adds 2TB of storage and a splash of sparkling green, grey and silver. The included controller matches the new style too. It’s a looker.
Lastly, the Series S won’t be left out in the cold with a Robot White iteration of its 1TB Edition, previously released only in black.
We’re yet to get any confirmation of release date or price points just yet, though you can expect there will be plenty of promotions (potentially around a certain Black Ops campaign) later this year.
We’ll have more on all three consoles once that info drops, but in the meantime how keen are you for an upgrade? Does the sparkling Galaxy Black have your attention? Let us know in the comments below and on our socials.
