Twisted Metal is an upcoming TV adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game series produced by Peacock, which will premiere globally on July 27, 9pm AEST. In Australia, people will be able to watch the Twisted Metal TV series via the streaming service Stan.

The series stars Anthony Mackie as John Doe, Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth (voiced by Will Arnett), Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet, Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone, Richard Cabral as Loud, and Neve Campbell as Raven. It is billed as an action-comedy and is an original spin on the series conceived by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, both of Deadpool fame. Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai) helped write the show and serves as showrunner.

Season One will consist of 10 episodes, with each episode running for 30 minutes, and all 10 episodes will be released on July 27.

The premise sees John Doe, a milkman with amnesia, given the task of delivering a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland in exchange for a chance at a better life. Joined by car thief Quiet, the pair will have to face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and the dangers of the open road if they are to be successful.
