To celebrate the launch of Sonic Origins Plus and the speedrunning event raising money for Game on Cancer, the legends at Five Star Games and SEGA have provided us with two Sonic and Knuckles-themed State of Origin jerseys (one of each), Sonic merch, and two copies of Sonic Origins Plus on Switch to give away.
The speedrunning event is being held at Fortress Sydney on Friday, June 23 from 6pm to 8pm with a $10 entry fee. Those who can’t attend but want to watch the fun, the event is being streamed via the AusSpeedruns Twitch. The event is being run to support Game on Cancer, an initiative of Cure Cancer that sees gamers come together to raise money in the fight against cancer. Members of the competing NSW and QLD teams will be wearing custom-made State of Origin jerseys, which will then be up for grabs.
Prizes up for grabs are the following: 1x Sonic-themed NSW State of Origin jersey + Sonic plushie, 1x Knuckles-themed QLD State of Origin jersey + Sonic plushie, and 2x Sonic Origins Plus for the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the competition is only available to Australian residents.
