Xbox and Bethesda are set to kickstart the 2023 video game news cycle early, with the confirmation of what they are dubbing a ‘Developer Direct’ event, set to take place early morning January 26 for Australian gamers, or January 25 in the US.
The event is expected to have some hopefully big updates on the likes of Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, Redfall and The Elder Scrolls Online, with the potential for some new trailers, developer interviews and (maybe) a few release date confirmations and a surprise or two.
One notable name missing from the event announcement is Starfield, Bethesda’s space-faring adventure, but don’t fear the worst just yet. Bethesda themselves confirmed via their official Twitter account that a solo deep-dive showcase for the long-awaited title is in the works instead, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for that.
To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Starfield, a standalone show is in the works.
