Xbox Reveals A New Special Edition Controller Made Partially From Reclaimed Materials

Happy Earth Day from Xbox

Xbox has revealed the new Xbox Remix Special Edition controller that will be available on April 18.

Unlike other special edition Xbox controllers, the Remix differentiates itself with more than just a different colour scheme. As detailed on Xbox Wire, The Remix controller has been made with the environment in mind, with one-third of the handset being made up of recycled and reclaimed materials. The materials used to create the controller are resins taken from consumer products such as headlight covers, CDs and even recycled controllers.

Continuing the environmental theme, the controller also comes packed with a rechargeable battery pack in an effort to help reduce waste. As far as aesthetics are concerned, the controller features a multi-tone look consisting of earth tones of green, brown and aqua. The triggers, bumpers and grips even sport texturing that’s meant to look like a topographic map.
