Mere days after outing the existence of the long-rumoured Xbox Series S, that cheeky Series X official controller packaging has potentially dropped another big bombshell regarding the release of the new console/s.
Via a tweet today, The Verge’s Tom Warren revealed that it’s not just the controller boxes themselves that contained juicy info but the boxes those shipped in. As is standard Microsoft custom for pre-release products, the shipping boxes that will eventually be sent out to retailers are affixed with bright orange stickers that state the controllers are not to be sold or displayed prior to a certain date. That date is November 6.
Xbox Series X may launch on November 6th. A tipster tells me boxes of the new controllers have a do not open date of November 6th on them. These controllers leaked earlier this week https://t.co/oyhlbg2SKo pic.twitter.com/dq096shN7L

Lending this even more credibility is the confirmation from the Xbox team that the Series X is definitely launching at some point in November, which was announced alongside the reveal that Halo Infinite will sadly miss the launch and release in 2021.
