E3 2017: Microsoft’s Project Scorpio Named Xbox One X; Release Date and Pricing Revealed

With great power comes great responsibility

Microsoft kicked off their E3 2017 showing  by revealing the name and release date for their juiced-up impending Project Scorpio console.

Xbox chief Phil Spencer announced that Project Scorpio would be called the Xbox One X – keeping the Xbox One family name – and will be releasing on November 7th worldwide.

Sporting a sleek and sexy graphite/charcoal/black look, the Xbox One X will be the most powerful console ever, along with being the smallest Xbox ever.

After reeling off a bunch of specs and buzzwords, Microsoft fed viewers with an arsenal of games, both exclusives and multiplats. Spencer also revealed that a bunch of titles (such as a favourite of mine, Homefront: The Revolution) would be receiving updates to ensure an enhanced experienced on the Xbox One X.

Viewers were then given the answer to the question that we’d all be asking: what would such a powerful console cost us mere peasants?

Big Phil Spencer revealed that we’d have to part with $499 USD or $649 AUD if we wanted to be an early adopter of Xbox’s white knight console.
