Marvel Games and EA have announced that a new Iron Man video game is currently in development.
Playing as the titular hero, the Iron Man game will be a single-player, third-person, action-adventure title that features a completely original story. The game is currently in development at Motive Studios, the team behind Star Wars: Squadrons (which we gave a 7.5) and the upcoming Dead Space remake. We don’t know a great deal more than that, but the press release mentions that the Iron Man game will be “the first of several new games” coming from a collaboration between Marvel and EA.
Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games has said “[Motive’s] experience delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay—combined with their authentic passion for the armoured icon—will fuel our quest to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the ultimate Iron Man video game.”
