Gearbox has announced that a new Tales from the Borderlands is in development, set for release this year.
The announcement came during Gearbox’s panel at PAX East, with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford making the reveal to the live crowd. We don’t have any further details on the plot or specific release date, but a follow-up Tweet confirms that the game will feature a “New adventure, new characters, new tales.”
While the original Tales from the Borderlands was developed by Telltale Games, this new entry is coming from Gearbox Software and is being published by 2K.

The first Tales from the Borderlands game focused on the two primary characters Rhys and Fiona as they did what any good Borderlands protagonists do, hunt for a vault. With the original being well-received by critics and fans of the series, this is a sequel many will be happy to see.
