I can’t quite believe that I’m finally able to report on this. It’s just been announced by publisher Deep Silver that a new TimeSplitters game is official in pre-development. The announcement states that Deep Silver is creating a new studio to work on the project, but that’s not all. It’s been revealed that this new studio will be a reformed Free Radical Design, the formerly disbanded studio that created the original TimeSplitters trilogy.
This new version of the studio will apparently consist of a number of members from the original iteration and will be headed up by Steve Ellis and David Doak, two of the original founders of Free Radical. It’s likely that this project will stay quiet for some time, as the game isn’t even in full development swing yet, but it’s a huge step towards revitalising one of the best shooters in gaming history.

Seeing as there might be a substantial wait before we get a new TimeSplitters, you might want to check out how you can play the entirety of TimeSplitters 2 through a copy of Homefront: The Revolution. Sound good to you? Check out exactly how to do that HERE.
Are you excited to see TimeSplitters return? What time periods would you like to explore in the new game? Let us know.
