A World Of Warcraft House Appeared In Melbourne’s Federation Square

Welcome to the Midnight House & Lounge, for a limited time only

A little corner of Azeroth officially moved into the heart of Melbourne, with the arrival of the Midnight House & Lounge in Federation Square.

Celebrating the official pre-patch launch of the World of Warcraft expansion Midnight, this little taste of Warcraft Hospitality lets players get hands-on with the introduction of player housing within the title. For those who live in Melbourne, it’s a little like having a Warcraft Home close to your ACTUAL home.

Kinda.

To mark the occasion, cosplayers were invited to ‘make themselves at home’, dressing up in iconic World of Warcraft outfits to put their feet up and enjoy the calming lounge experience – putting behold old rivalries and enjoying the Aussie summer weather.

Associate Game Director Paul Kubit was also present, joining the festivities and to celebrate the next instalment of this iconic franchise:

As we enter the home stretch before the launch of World of Warcraft Midnight, I’m excited to be here in Australia connecting with local fans and sharing insight into the exciting new features arriving in this next chapter of World of Warcraft

If you are in the area, there is still time to relax and unwind and explore what’s next for World of Warcraft – The Midnight House & Lounge is open until Sunday 25 January, between 1:00pm-8:00pm daily. While you are in the area, make sure to hit up ACMI while you are nearby for some more awesome gaming history.

The one bit of advice I will offer is simple – you may not need sunscreen in Azeroth, but you DEFINITELY need it in Australia – slip, slop and slap before hitting up this sanctuary.

World of Warcraft: Midnight launches globally on 3 March.
