Abiotic Factor Is A Multiplayer Sci-Fi Survival Game With A Retro Style Made In New Zealand

It’s got that Valve factor

New Zealand developer Deep Field Games has announced its latest game Abiotic Factor, a multiplayer retro style sci-fi survival game that is set to launch on PC and consoles in 2023.

Players will assume the role of the “greatest minds on the planet,” who after being trapped in another dimension due to an experiment gone wrong must work together and use their skills to survive and escape the doomed facility. Crafting will be key to survival, with tools, food, gear and weapons all paramount to making it out alive.

The team at Deep Field Games are proudly wearing their inspirations on their sleeves, with Abiotic Factor seemingly heavily influenced by the Valve games of yore, such as Half Life and Left 4 Dead. Not that we’re complaining.

While the game is tailored to a multiplayer experience, players can ride solo should they choose.

For those attending PAX Australia, Abiotic Factor will be on show and playable.
