Assassin’s Creed Mirage Gets An October Release Date Alongside A New Gameplay Trailer

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on October 12.

During this morning’s PlayStation Showcase, a two-minute gameplay trailer for the next Assassin’s Creed title was shown off, with protagonist Basim stealthing his way around Baghdad, getting into sword fights with guards and, of course, assassinating targets. The gameplay shown certainly feels more like the classic Assassin’s Creed titles, which is something that Mirage promises to get back to after the trend of more RPG-style entries.

Now that the release date cat is out of the bag, Mirage’s various editions have been revealed and are available for pre-order. The Deluxe Edition comes with a Prince of Persia-inspired DLC pack including an outfit, eagle, skin for your mount, and weapon. The Deluxe version will set you back $89.95 from EB Games or $89 from JB Hi-Fi.

There is also a Collector’s Edition, which comes with the Deluxe game, a replica Basim brooch, a steelbook, a mini artbook, a map of Baghdad, the game’s soundtrack and a 32cm statue of Basim. This edition will run you $22.95 from EB Games.
