Astro Bot Is Getting A Free Winter-Themed Level This Week With New Bots To Find

Jingle Bots

With 30th Anniversary celebrations starting to wind down, and hot off the tail of its annual Wrap-Up “launching” yesterday, PlayStation is intent to keep the good times coming this holiday season with another little treat for fans – this time aimed at enjoyers of Team Asobi’s brilliant, GOTY-nominated 2024 3D platformer, Astro Bot.

This early end-of-year gift comes by way of a brand-new DLC level for the game, dubbed Winter Wonder, which promises to be packed with holiday cheer, presents and of course new Bots to collect.

Unlike the previously-released free DLC levels for the game, Studio Director Nicholas Doucet says that Winter Wonder will be a lot more easy-going and chill (heh) to play, so that it can be enjoyed by everyone.

You will, however, need to have completed the main game before accessing the new level.

Hopefully, the Bots contained within will be a touch more exciting than the series of Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2 repeats that came with the speedrun DLC.

The Astro Bot Winter Wonder DLC will be available as a free update to the game starting 1PM AEDT on Friday, December 13th, and you can read more about it right here.

Adam called Astro Bot an “Astro Banger” in his review earlier this year, scoring the game a 9/10 and writing, “Astro Bot is a wonderfully entertaining and diverse platformer that throws new ideas at you at an incredible rate, topped with stunning visuals and an injection of PlayStation nostalgia.”

Will you be jumping back into Astro Bot to play this free DLC level? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
