August 2023’s PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe Catalogue Update Has Been Revealed

Two new releases in one update

Not to put the cart before the horse, but this update kicks all kinds of arse. The PlayStation Plus catalogue updates have been drip-feeding us some bangers over the past few months, but the next round of games looks to give you that moment of dread when you set an alarm for the next morning, and it says “alarm set for four hours from now.” Last month gave us It Takes Two, Snowrunner and Undertale, to name a few, but let’s not waste any more time, let’s have a look at what’s coming.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, an update to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members is coming, adding 17 new titles to the Extra and Deluxe tiers, starting on August 15.

PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe

  • Sea of Stars (coming on August 29)
  • Moving Out 2
  • Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
  • Lost Judgment
  • Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed
  • Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition
  • Source of Madness
  • Cursed to Golf
  • Dreams
  • PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night
  • Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tale Adventures
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator: Landmark Edition
  • Spellforce III Reforced
  • Midnight Fight Express

PlayStation Plus Deluxe Games

  • MediEvil: Resurrection (PSP)
  • Ape Escape: On the Loose (PSP)
  • Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice (PSP)

Both Seas of Stars and Moving Out 2 are coming to the PlayStation catalogue on day one, which is a pretty big get. The follow-up to the Aussie-made co-op party game, Moving Out 2, should be a blast for those who like to yell, shout and laugh with their mates, while Sea of Stars is a classic turn-based RPG, so we’ve got some solid variety. Before I let you go, if you haven’t played Midnight Fight Express, take this opportunity to do so because the arcade brawler is a hidden gem developed by a single person (we gave it a 9).

What do you think of this update to the catalogue? What games would you like to see added next? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
