Biomutant Is Heading To PS5 And Xbox Series X|S In September

The furry fighter gets an upgrade

THQ Nordic has announced that Biomutnant will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 6.

The open-world Wung-Fu action game will see a number of upgrades when it makes its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with these versions including faster load times, native 4K resolution, HDR support and 60fps. The PS5 version will also include DualSense features such as haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support.

Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be able to choose from three different graphics modes: Quality, Quality Unleashed and Performance. Quality will run at 30fps at 4K, Quality Unleashed will run at over 40fps (targeting 50-60) running at 4K (1440 on Series S) and Performance mode will run at 60fps at 1440p (1080p on Series S).

Those who already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One will have access to a free upgrade to the new versions and will be able to use their current save.

Releasing in March of 2021, we said in our review that Biomuntant’s “weird and wonderful world is a treat to take in, even when its diverse gameplay elements don’t always hit the mark. If you’re looking for a fresh and furry take on open-world RPGs and don’t mind a little jank, this might be just the ticket.” We scored it a 7.5.
