Heroes of The Dorm returns once again for 2017 that will see young teams battling it out in the Nexus for over $500,000USD in college tuition and prizes.
The tournament is open to US residents only (never say never for a future ANZ spin on the HoTD formula). If you so happen to be living in the US or have a mate over there then now is the time to get that registration going! All the details are below.
REGISTRATION
OPEN JANUARY 25 – FEBRUARY 11, 2017
- Start a new team or find an open spot on a roster at your school. Heroes of the Storm is free to play, so start practicing!
- Full-time students at four-year colleges and universities in the United States and Canada are eligible—see complete rules for details.
- Once your team has five eligible players, get ready to battle! Online qualifiers start February 15, 2017.
GROUP STAGES AND PLAYOFFS
FEBRUARY 15 – MARCH 8, 2017
- All eligible teams play in a series of group-stage matches.
- Top teams advance to a regional playoff tournament.
- Climb to the top of your region for a spot in the 64-team bracket.
- Select matches streamed on Facebook Live.
BRACKET PLAY
MARCH 18 – MARCH 26, 2017
- The top 64 teams are seeded in a single-elimination bracket.
- College esports fans around the world can cheer on their favorite teams while enjoying matches on Facebook Live.

THE HEROIC FOUR
APRIL 8, 2017
- The four surviving teams advance to the Heroic Four live event.
- Streaming on Facebook Live, the Heroic Four features two semifinals and an epic championship clash.
- Watch the action from home or join us in person for the thrilling conclusion and the crowning of the Heroes of the Dorm National Champion.
- Your Bracket Challenge entry could be worth $10,000! Just pick the winner of every match and follow the results.
