Blizzard Releases Amazing Lo-Fi Beats To Chill To While Waiting For World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Now you can hurry up and wait with a backing track

If you have a pulse and have used YouTube in the last 18 months, you are likely aware of the phenomenon that is “lofi hip hop radio – beats to relax/study to“. If you by chance also enjoy World of Warcraft, you will be delighted that you now have a place in the middle a very particular Venn diagram that covers both bases.

Released today as some fun last minute Shadowlands marketing, some core music tracks for the upcoming expansion get their very own lo-fi treatment courtesy of some talented artists that have been featured on the famous lo-fi YouTube stream, including:

  • Sans Primus from Maldraxxus remixed by Casiio.
  • Aspirants Journey Doubt remixed by Bishop Nehru.
  • Nocturne Melancholy Dream remixed Eevee.
  • Decadence Hospitality remixed by Josh Carter.

You can find all four videos on World of Warcraft’s official YouTube channel, or take a listen below:

For ambient music, the treatments given to each track has created something quite unique to jam to while you wait for the expansion to official drop – or even just to get some study done. Also have to give props to the amazing animated art that apes the original ‘studying girl’ from the YouTube stream – a masterful touch.

Shadowlands is the latest expansion for World of Warcraft, with a release date of 23rd November 2020
