Broken Sword – Shadow Of The Templars: Reforged Collector’s Edition Kickstarter Is Live; Goal Already Smashed

And we’re off

Earlier this morning, Revolution Software launched the Kickstarter for the collector’s edition of the upcoming Broken Sword – Shadow Of The Templars: Reforged with a goal of A$ 97,162, a target it has already smashed.

At time of writing, the Kickstarter has raised more than A$300k, a huge figure that the team at Revolution will be no doubt blown away by. The campaign is offering three different versions of the game: Digital Collector’s Edition, Collector’s Edition Box, and Ultimate Collector’s Bundle.

Each version includes a digital copy of the game on your chosen platform, as well as a digital version of the soundtrack and access to a new documentary episode. But some of the more juicier rewards are the George figurine (Collector’s Box and Collector’s Bundle), a game manual and manuscript that can be used while playing (Collector’s Box and Collector’s Bundle), a vinyl of game’s soundtrack in high-fidelity audio (Collector’s Bundle), and a brand new art book (Collector’s Bundle). These rewards don’t come cheap though, with the Collector’s Bundle costing A$390 without shipping (don’t tell my partner I pledged this reward).

Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is the 4K remaster of the 1998 critically acclaimed Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars.  It not only offers old and new players an improved visuals, parts of the game have been tweaked to make it a more modern experience. While Steam says its release window is Q1 2024, the Kickstarter suggests that this window has been pushed to June 2024.
