People Can Fly and Incuvo have announced that Bulletstorm VR has been delayed and will now be released on Meta Quest, Steam VR and PSVR2 on January 18, 2024.
Originally set for a December 14 release date, the fast-paced, arcade shooter will now challenge players to get creative with their kills early next year. A statement posted to X from People Can Fly and Incuvo confirms that the added development time will be used to “continue improving the experience to ensure that Bulletstorm VR lives up to the high standards you’ve come to expect from the well-known AAA FPS franchise and People Can Fly as a developer of high-quality AAA games.”

The original Bulletstorm hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC back in 2011, enjoying a decent reception and garnering somewhat of a cult following. Bombastic and ridiculous, Bulletstorm’s gameplay is centered around dispatching foes in the craziest and most creative ways possible, with the help of some truly unique weapons and tools. All in all, it’s a game that should translate really well into VR, so it’s on my radar.
