Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Tops Sales Charts for the First Week of 2017

For a game that seemingly everyone hates, it sure seems to top charts a lot

Call of Duty has shown that it is still a very popular shooter, regardless of iteration, with Infinite Warfare topping both Australian and New Zealand sales charts for the first week of 2017. Our very own Kieran positively reviewed the 2016 instalment into the Call of Duty series, saying the campaign is “tense and emotionally charged” while also pointing out that the multiplayer is a little pay-to-win focused. The only other entry that is the same across both Australia and New Zealand is NBA 2K17.

Australia:

  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Activision (Activision Blizzard)
  2. Skyrim Special Edition – Bethesda Softworks
  3. Watch Dogs 2 – Ubisoft
  4. Battlefield 1 – Electronic Arts
  5. Grand Theft Auto V – Rockstar Games (Take 2)
  6. Forza Horizon 3 – Microsoft
  7. Final Fantasy XV – Square Enix Inc
  8. Minecraft – Microsoft
  9. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – Ubisoft
  10. NBA 2K17 – 2K Sports (Take 2)

New Zealand:

  1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Activision (Activision Blizzard)
  2. Grand Theft Auto V – Rockstar Games (Take 2)
  3. Battlefield 1 – Electronic Arts
  4. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – Ubisoft
  5. Minecraft – Microsoft
  6. Final Fantasy XV – Square Enix Inc
  7. Watch Dogs 2 – Ubisoft
  8. FIFA 17 – Electronic Arts
  9. Battlefield 4 – Electronic Arts
  10. NBA 2K17 – 2K Sports (Take 2)
