There is something absurdly 90’s about the Mortal Kombat franchise. Multicoloured ninjas, fighting soul stealing sorcerers? It feels like a no-brainer that the most 90’s edgelord character to ever exist would guest star in the franchie – say hello the SPAWN:
Everything that makes Spawn …well, Spawn – is just to so absurdly over the top and fun to fight with. Living chains, a far more dangerous version of Dr. Stranges’ living cloak and a ridiculous arsenal of guns – Spawn is oldschool comic books incarnate.
And he is voiced by Keith David, one of the most badass voice actors around. The whole thing just REEKS of awesomeness. I mean seriously, look at this guy at a glance:
The patch also comes with a slew of fun film-inspired skins, including an Indiana Jones get up for Erron Black, and a wicked Ellen Ripley cosplay for Jacqui briggs.
Oh, and Jacqui also get’s to cosplay as She-Spawn. Rad.
Oh, and just in case you still hadn’t actually bitten the bullet to PURCHASE the Kombat pack (which includes all these smashing lovelies and much much more) did I mention that the DLC is currently on sale?
Excuse the pun, but seriously – hell yeah.
Spawn will be available for Kombat Pack owners on March 17
