Arrr, Petoons Studio and PQube have announced the release date of their ‘ratoidvania’, Curse of the Sea Rats, which will hit PC and consoles on April 6.
Set in the 18th century, Curse of the Sea Rats follows the journey of four prisoners who are on a mission to regain their human bodies after being transformed into rats by the evil pirate witch Flora. It’s got a gorgeous hand-drawn art style, local co-op of up to four players, and epic boss battles.
Curse of the Sea Rats started out as a Kickstarter in 2020 (which yours truly backed), and has since has suffered several delays, so to finally have a release date is exciting.
Alongside the release date, a new trailer showing off the game’s bosses dropped, you can check it out below:
Curse of the Sea Rats will launch on April 6 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
