Darksiders Genesis Has A Special Edition That Comes With A Board Game

Apocalypse WOW

Right as I was settling into saving some cash for a change, I felt a disturbance in the financial force. My bank account started weeping, for no discernible reason. Of course, Darksiders Genesis has a fully amazing collectors edition.

THQ Nordic confirmed this snazzy special edition will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC game – just check out the trailer:

The video does a brilliant job of showcasing the goodies (and to be real, it’s standard collectors’ fare) – But let’s take a closer look.

You get:

  • Premium Box
  • 23cm Tall Strife Figure
  • Steelbook Game Case
  • Darksiders Genesis Artbook
  • Darksiders Genesis Soundtrack
  • Darksiders Genesis IRL Stickers
  • Darksiders Genesis Game (duh)

It’s a good looking edition. The Aussie price? who knows – I quietly pray it is somewhere in the realm of ‘Reasonable’.

So hey, maybe you AREN’T satisfied. Maybe you left that little video asking ‘Where is the rest?’

Well, there is the Nephilim Edition, which comes with …a board game.

Seriously, a f***ing BOARD GAME.

So just in case you can’t get enough of the Horseman in the digital landscape, get together with some IRL mates and cause the apocalypse on your kitchen table.

Prices? Right now Amazon has a pre-order of these goodies at $109.99USD and $379.99USD respectively, but who knows what Aussie retail will be packing.

Any way you look at it, that board game is going to ask a lot of my wallet – and I can’t stop hearing it’s sirens call.

DARKSIDERS: GENESIS gives players their first look at the world of DARKSIDERS before the events of the original game, as well as introduces the horseman STRIFE.
