Deathloop Launching On PS5 And PC In May 2021, Editions And Pre-Order Bonuses Detailed

May the loop be with you

Dishonored developer Arkane Studios’ newest game Deathloop will be released on May 21, 2021, on PS5 and PC Bethesda announced yesterday, confirming release date leaks from a day prior. No information was provided for the Xbox release of the game.

Announced in June 2019, Deathloop is a first-person action game that sees the game’s hero Colt stuck on the island of Blackreef in a timeloop and forced to relive the same day over and over again. Using a myriad weapons and abilities, Colt must discover a way to end the timeloop and escape the island. You can watch the game’s release date trailer below:

Furthermore, Bethesda also announced Deathloop’s pre-order bonuses and revealed the different editions of the game.

Standard Edition

The standard edition of DEATHLOOP contains the base game and comes with the following pre-order bonuses:
  • Unique Weapon: Royal Protector Machete (PS5 Exclusive)
  • Character Skin: “Storm Rider” Colt
  • One Trinket (equippable buff)

Deluxe Edition

The DEATHLOOP Deluxe Edition contains:
  • Unique Weapon: Transtar Trencher (PS5 Exclusive)
  • Unique Weapon: Eat The Rich Tribunal
  • Unique Weapon: .44 Karat Fourpounder
  • Character Skin: “Party Crasher” Colt
  • Character Skin: “Sharp Shooter” Julianna
  • Original Game Soundtrack Selections
  • Two Trinkets (equippable buffs)
The following bonuses are included when you pre-order the Deluxe Edition:
  • Unique Weapon: Royal Protector Machete (PS5 Exclusive)
  • Character Skin: “Storm Rider” Colt
  • One Trinket (equippable buff)

With Bethesda now a part of the Microsoft family, it’s somewhat humorous to see a Microsoft-owned IP launch exclusively on a rival platform. However, ever the good guy, Phil Spencer said that Microsoft would honour pre-agreed timed-exclusivity deals for both Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo.
