Diablo Immortal Unveils First Major Content Update Titled Forgotten Nightmares

New dungeons, a new raid boss and even a new place to call home

Blizzard has dropped that the first big chonker of post-release content coming to Diablo Immortal will be titled ‘Forgotten Nightmares’ – and features a new spooky castle to explore with your warband mates!

For those that enjoy the challenge of a dungeon, the new Silent Monastery is a brand spanker that has fun with the lighting system by being incredibly bloody dark. But you can illuminate some statues throughout to reveal the evil that lurks within the darkness.

At it’s core is a new boss fight where you will take on the boogieman of darkness – known as the Ancient Nightmare – and finally be free of your childhood darkness phobias. At least, that is how I hope it works.

The highlight for me is absolutely the addition of some fun Warband centric stuff – your very own castle to call your own. While it’s no Castle Greyskull, I will settle for what I get: Castle Cyrangar.

From what I understand, this will replace your quaint warband camp and instead give you a more solid homestead to call your own. There are also some game modes that allow you to secure and defend your castle, so you can feel like you are earning the stonework.

This castle is also home to a special weapon type known as Ancestral Weapons, which appear to buff the members of your warband – through the power of friendship, I assume?

Getting enough of these bad boys together means you can unite them within an in-game UI, feel like knights of old crossing their swords over a round table.

All this and even more will be coming to all players on September 28, once a short downtime has allowed the game to be updated.
