Vampyr and Life is Strange developers DON’T NOD have today shown off a brand new gameplay trailer for its action RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of Eden at this year’s Summer Game Fest. The game was initially teased last year at The Game Awards and sees players inhabit a grimdark world called New Eden in which they need to hunt and fight through fantastical monsters. You’ll be playing as Antea Duarte and Red mac Rait, two lovers who will combine their respective ghost and arsenal abilities to try and change the fate of the world around them. The overarching narrative will see you trying to save Antea’s soul as you Banish ghosts, unlock new abilities and gear, and just generally try to survive this harsh world.
Banishers: Ghost of Eden will also be getting a very fancy collector’s edition complete with an old-school statue, artbook, and DLC code for future adventures. The game is set to release later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

One part pretentious academic and one part goofy dickhead, James is often found defending strange games and frowning at the popular ones, but he's happy to play just about everything in between. An unbridled love for FromSoftware's pantheon, a keen eye for vibes first experiences, and an insistence on the Oxford comma have marked his time in the industry.
