DOOM Eternal Gets A Release Date For The Switch

Hand(hell)d

The rebooted DOOM 2016 was a huge success (we gave it a 9.2), reinvigorating the long-running franchise and giving the first-person shooter genre a shot in the arm at the same time. The sequel, DOOM Eternal, built upon this incredible foundation and managed to meet the lofty expectations that players had set (we gave it a 9). Currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, the Switch release has been pretty quiet until now.

That silence has now been broken, as it’s been announced that DOOM Eternal will be releasing on Switch next week on December 8. Being the Switch, this version will feature optional gyro controls for those who dig that sort of thing. Eternal won’t be getting a physical launch for Switch, but it will be available via the eShop. If you’re exclusively a Switch player or you’ve been waiting for this handheld version, the wait is almost over.

Are you exciting for DOOM Eternal to launch on the Switch? Have you already played DOOM Eternal? Let us know.
