WW1 Survival Horror Game Conscript Has Been Confirmed For A Console Release Later This Year

Take to the trenches

Developer Catchweight Studio and publisher Team17 have announced that the World War I retro horror game Conscript will be releasing on PS5, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2024.

Previously announced for PC, the unique Melbourne-developed title will now be launching across all major platforms. Moreover, Conscript will be receiving a physical release on Switch in Australia, so those who would prefer to add games to their shelf instead of their digital library will be taken care of. This news came alongside a new gameplay trailer, highlighting the moody pixel art style and sombre tone of this Aussie-made horror game.

You can watch the new Conscript gameplay trailer here:

We went hands-on with Conscript during PAX last year, chatting with solo developer Jordan Mochi in the process, and we came away from the demo aching to play more. In our preview, we said, “In the roughly 45 minutes I played, Conscript flexed its mechanical diversity, running me through frenetic action, tense stealth, and the genre staple, inventory management.”

If waiting until an undisclosed date later in the year doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, you could always head over to Conscript’s Steam Page and download the new demo to give it a go for yourself.

Conscript will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2024.
