Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets New Gameplay Trailer, Looks Immaculate

Dark A Rise Again

Capcom seems to be moving from strength to strength lately as at today’s PlayStation Showcase event we got our first look at the gameplay for its highly anticipated fantasy action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2. A sequel to the cult classic Dragon’s Dogma, the follow-up is running in the shiny new RE Engine (powering the Resident Evil remakes for reference) and looks to be continuing on the legacy of this strange but ambitious little franchise. The trailer shows us a glimpse into this grimdark fantasy world in which warriors and wizards team up to tackle mammoth beasts in a land struck by political and magical turmoil. The new engine is doing wonders too as the game looks to be full of gorgeous particle-flinging spells and even darker pitch blacks, which fans of the original should be extremely hyped for given the nature of night in this world. You can check out the trailer below:

“The first title in the Dragon’s Dogma series initially launched in 2012. It gained popularity as a one-of-a-kind action-RPG thanks to its polished action and combat, as well as a unique system that made the player feel as if accompanied by others through pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings,” said Capcom’s Ken Mendoza via the PlayStation Blog, going on to say, “Dragon’s Dogma 2 follows in its footsteps elevating these elements further to create a truly immersive fantasy world for your adventures ahead.”
