Publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have announced Elden Ring Nightreign, a new game in the series, set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2025.
In a truly unexpected move, FromSoftware lifted the lid on a brand new Elden Ring title during The Game Awards 2025. Geoff Keighley announced Nightreign, barely holding together his excitement, as he threw to the reveal trailer below. The gameplay shows a far more fast-paced approach to traversal and combat, with players seen flying using Spirit Ashes and sprinting and mantling at breakneck speeds. And that’s players, plural, as Nightreign is a co-op experience, more than what we typically see in FromSoftware games.
We will need to wait for more concrete information, but the trailer shows bosses from former FromSoftware titles, like the Nameless King, so there’s undoubtedly more going on here than we currently know.
