Enter The Gungeon 2 Has Been Revealed And It’s Poised To Consume My Life

Re-Enter the Gungeon

Publisher Devolver Digital and Developer Dodge Roll have announced that Enter the Gungeon 2 will be releasing on Switch 2 and PC in 2026.

It’s been almost ten years since the original Enter the Gungeon was released. Ten. Years. The sequel to the beloved bullet hell twin-stick dungeon crawler looks to retain the frenetic gameplay that fills your screen with a variety of projectiles and enemies, but this time, we’re hopping into the third dimension. Unshackled from the 2D plane, Enter the Gungeon 2 features a slick and sexy new art style that utilises 3D space, undoubtedly making fights with cute bullets all the more hectic.

The short and sweet reveal trailer doesn’t give us much to go on just yet, outside of the game looking gorgeous, but it does a great job of whetting the palate by showing a boss fight with a Giga bullet made up of our favourite ballistic mascots. We do, however, have a little bit of extra info courtesy of the trailer’s description.

“Battle through areas familiar and unknown as the ruined Gungeon reveals its secrets to those brave enough to enter. Discover, unlock, and master fantastic weaponry within its procedurally-generated halls and destroy the legions of Gundead pouring forth from within. Charge into dynamic battles against devilishly cute enemies, previously confined to the 2D plane, and delight as they are knocked around, tossed into the air, and thrown deep into pits.”
