First Look At Overwatch 2’s Next Mythic Weapon Reveals A Far Out Space Gun

With the reveal of a new season, players are also keen to see what Mythic Weapon would be making it’s way to Overwatch 2. Keen eyed observers were quick to note that the marketing for the season named elderly support sniper Ana as the recipient, so what kind of speccy boomstick would best suit the nanna?

Well, if you guessed “white and gold spaceship looking thing”, you were right on the money – because this is a gun that looks swoosh-able if a child was to play with it.

The weapon is called the “Midnight Sun”, and seems to have a captive little sun-like orb on it. If you were to divorce your thoughts of spaceships (a struggle for me) you’d probably see that the ornate design also looks a bit
Egyptian-Sci-Fi, like it was sitting on a prop table for the Stargate Film/TV Show. This suits the overall aesthetic of the newest Overwatch 2 season, which is leaning into the lost sandy treasures of the shows lore.
