A new gameplay trailer for Forza Horizon 5 has been revealed during this morning’s Gamescom 2021 Xbox Stream. The eight-minute snippet of gameplay gives us an extended look at a number of biomes, weather patterns and vehicles.
After a brief developer intro, the gameplay kicks off with the brutish 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands being airdropped out of a plane before smashing down the beautiful, snow-capped Gran Caldera volcano. Breaking away from the cold, the player then bursts into the Baha Desert, screaming past cacti in all directions.
Cutting over to another airdrop, we now see the sleek 2020 Corvette Stingray. Blazing down a road in the Mexican countryside, this baby looks like an absolute beast. After leisurely doing 260 km/h, we see the gorgeous machine drive straight into a huge sandstorm, completely limiting visibility.
Jumping once more, we’re now in the dense jungle behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 Desert Flyer (Zach Jackson’s baby). The water effects and lighting on show here are excellent and the offroad gameplay looks tight.
One last transition gives us a glimpse at the near-alien Mercedes-AMG ONE driving down a rocky coast. Tearing down the coast looks peaceful and exhilarating in equal measure and doing so in that insane Merc is the cherry on top.
It was also announced that the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands and the Mercedes-AMG ONE will be Forza Horizon 5’s two cover cars.
Forza Horizon 5 releases on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on November 9.
