If the last year has taught us anything, it’s that we shouldn’t be surprised by games copping a good old release date delay. This time though the delay doesn’t seem to be directly a result of the current pandemic. Arc System Works announced via Twitter today that they would be delaying their upcoming fighting game, Guilty Gear -Strive-, will be delayed until June 11, 2021, in response to feedback gathered from their recent Open Beta Test.

The game was originally slated to release on April 9, so a two-month delay isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things. If it’s to fix the online play side of things, I think most fans of fighting games would welcome it, as the online play always seems to be the biggest letdown for ArcSys games in the last few years.
Guilty Gear -Strive- will launch on PS5, PS4, and Steam.
