Here’s Our First Look At The Sinking City On Nintendo Switch

More the madder

Just before launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC back in June, Frogwares announced that it was going independent and taking The Sinking City with it, promising to release the Lovecraftian-detective game on the Nintendo Switch at some point later in the year.

While a release date appears to be imminent, Frogwares has shown the game running on Nintendo’s system for the first time, as well as detailing improvements made to the experience.

We did our best to optimize the game and ensure it runs at a stable 30 frames throughout. We also improved combat a bit to have more weight and feel. Weapons now have new gunshot sounds, improved recoil and new visual effects. We also did our best to improve the game from people’s feedback. So things like crowd behavior and pedestrian AI has been tweaked along with all around additional levels of polishing and bug fixing.
Serge Chervonnyi, Game Producer

We gave the title an 8 in our review, praising the Lovecraftian atmosphere, the challenging puzzles and compelling story. You can watch the Switch gameplay reveal below:
